The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is a 25-year-old not-for-profit professional organization that serves the needs and maintains the professional standards of the men and women involved in marketing, business development, client service and communications within the legal profession. LMA also serves as a resource for practicing attorneys and law firm leaders looking to develop their practices and gain competitive advantage.

SullivanCotter built their business designing compensation solutions for hundreds of hospitals, health care systems, physician practices, and related organizations. We’ve worked with them since 1998 on:

Logo and stationery designs
National advertising campaigns
Capabilities brochures
Packaging for their annual survey questionnaires and printed surveys
Direct mail brochures and postcards to promote their surveys

For this capabilities brochure, we first developed the “Integrity, Independence, Insight” tag line working with copywriter Amy Derksen (www.amyderksen.com) and then developed a capabilities brochure around it.

High quality printing, including the use of 2 metallic inks in addition to 4C process, completes the look.

ACG National Capital Conference Brochure

Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) is a global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions. Today ACG stands at more than 12,000 members from corporations, private equity, finance, and professional service firms representing Fortune 500, Fortune 1000, FTSE 100, and mid-market companies in 53 chapters in North America and Europe.

We’ve been fortunate to work with the national organization and several regional chapters, including our friends Katie Newland and Annabel Bendz at ACG National Capital.

This direct mail brochure was designed to promote their Strategic Growth Conference and Capital Forum.

This 4-page newsletter builds on an established color palette of chocolate, gold, and cream to communicate the luxurious feel that that the owner and builder Jeannine Scheck wanted to convey.

Lee Lumber “Takeoff” Newsletter

Our friends at Powerhouse Advisors (www.powerhouseadvisors.com) contracted with us to produce a newsletter for their client, Lee Lumber. Lee Lumber is well-known in the Chicago area. In addition to lumber, they also sell doors, windows, cabinetry, and custom mill work through their Spaces & Views retail stores and 3 Chicagoland showrooms.

Lee wanted to reach out to the city’s architects, interior designers, and residential and commercial contractors. We designed this tabloid-sized newsletter featuring over-sized, professional photography and a clean, corporate look.

Diamond Flexible Packaging Capabilities Brochure

Diamond Flexible Packaging prints and converts custom bags made of polyethylene, polypropylene, cast polypropylene, and cellophane for the food industry. They also supply stand up, pre-made pouches (think bags of raisins) with sliders or press-to-close strips. They’re the “Converter’s Converter” and they’ve been a family-owned business since 1930.

Background

Diamond was attending an industry trade show and needed a new brand identity and capabilities brochure to hand out as a leave behind.

We had about 3 months to start and deliver the project— logo design concepts/approvals, location photography, copywriting, and design of an 8-page + pocket cover capabilities brochure. Oh . . . and it had to be done with a modest budget. OK . . . no problem . . . let’s get to work.

What We Did

We started the identity project immediately and within a few weeks had the logo approved. The black semi-circles represent the large rolls of plastic that Diamond uses to manufacture their bags. They also add motion to the mark.

Simultaneously, we assembled our creative team of David Joel—a top-notch photographer and Amy Derksen, an A-list copywriter. David did an excellent job of capturing the glam shots that we needed of both product and personnel while Amy worked her magic as she always does.

Result?

Pieces produced on time and on budget.
